Checklens from Salzburg was named the overall winner of the Elevator Pitch of the Handelskongress in Germany (Retail Congress). Checklens presented an artificial intelligence (AI) powered technology that detects and corrects scanning errors at the self-checkout. The AI assists customers in the scanning process and helps retailers to prevent shrinkage and loss in stores.
In total, three start-ups presented their business innovation to industry leaders on the main stage at the Handelskongress in Germany. The 3 finalists were previously determined by a jury of experts at the Newcomer Session at the end of September 2021. Three newcomers were invited to the big stage in Berlin.
Five-minutes were given to each start-up to present their innovation in front of industry experts. The congress audience and attendees cast their votes and made a decision: Checklens is the newcomer of the industry.
We prevailed among two really successful start-ups. We are very delighted to receive the Newcomer Prize of the retail industry. Handelskongress Deutschland has organized and hosted an amazing event. Interesting conversations and new contacts help us to make our AI technology for loss prevention even more popular in Germany.
