- Checklens wins CASH Start-up Prize
- Austrian tech-company beams with joy for their success at the Start-up Competition at the 36th CASH trade forum
Checklens has been named winner of the CASH Start-up Competition 2021 at the 36th CASH trade forum hosted by Manstein Verlag. It is the third award that the young tech company from Salzburg/Austria has received merely in 2021
The Cash Handelsforum, one of the largest industry gatherings in Austria, is taking place for the 36th time. For the first time, young entrepreneurs were called upon the event to submit their most innovative business ideas for the Start-up Competition with the format “Innovative Ideas, 5 Minutes”. A jury of experts from retail, industry and science selected five finalists from each of the categories Non Food, Food & Beverages, Logistics & Packaging, Pricing & Payment and Sustainability prior the competition. Among them was Checklens, winner of the “Payment & Pricing” category.
It was an exciting pitch with promising innovations, as the 5 finalists were invited to present their unique ideas in front of an incredible audience from business and politics at the CASH Handelsforum 2021, which took place at the Scalaria at Lake Wolfgang/Salzkammergut.
The winner has been determined – Checklens emerged as the clear overall winner of the competition. The AI solution Checkscan, a smart camera above the self- checkout that recognizes products and corrects scanning errors, was considered as the most convincing and most scalable application by the audience.
Our solution has proven itself. It has been launched internationally with several leading grocery retailers and a well-known furniture manufacturer. We have proven that our AI is working and it is applied internationally. We would be very happy if this success is enabling us to become active in the retail sector in our founding country as well.
